Sublimation: The Technique for Designs with Unlimited Colors
Sublimated T-shirts in Guatemala – Solid Colors for Your Brand
How does sublimation work?
Sublimation uses special ink that turns into gas with heat, integrating into the polyester fiber. The result: full colors without a layer on the garment, no tactile feel, and extremely high durability.
Advantages of sublimation
- Unlimited colors with no additional cost per color
- No tactile feel: no layer on the garment
- Maximum durability: the color is part of the fiber, it doesn't flake off
- Ideal for full designs, photos, and gradients
Limitations to consider
Sublimation works primarily on light polyester. It does not work on pure cotton or dark garments. For designs on cotton or dark garments, we recommend DTF.
Ideal uses
Complete sports uniforms, soccer jerseys, technical apparel with photographic designs, and streetwear brands that want garments with high color saturation prints.
