What is screen printing?
Screen printing is a technique that uses screens (one per color) to print ink directly onto the garment. It is the oldest and most proven technique on the market, offering durable and economical results when the design is simplified to solid colors without gradients.
When screen printing is suitable
- Designs with 1-4 solid colors
- Large volumes (50+ units per design)
- Solid corporate logos
- Prints on large areas (back, chest)
When to choose another technique
If your design has gradients, photos, or more than 5 colors, DTF is more suitable. If you need a few units with complex designs, DTF is also better. Screen printing is optimal when the volume amortizes the fixed cost of the screens.
Ink types
We use water-based ink (softer to the touch) and plastisol (more opaque and durable). We recommend based on the garment, base color, and the final look you're going for.
